He was predeceased by: his parents, James Laney and Nancy Laney; and his brother Stacy Laney. He is survived by: his wife Ruth Thomas Laney; his grandchildren, Jackson, Payton, Brynn, Hudson Laney, Drake and Riley Thorsvold; his siblings, William G. Laney (Barbara) and Joyce Harkey (Bob); and his sister-in-law Sue Laney.
Due to Covid-19 a Celebration of Life will be held at Siler Presbyterian Church at a later date.
