He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Phillips and Mary McNeill Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Helen Sheets Phillips; his children, Darrell Phillips (Joyce) of West Jefferson, Sandy Blevins (Steve) of Crumpler, Twyla Smith (John) of West Jefferson and Kathy Phillips of West Jefferson; and his siblings, Johnny Phillips (Doris) of Jefferson, Hazel Bare of Crumpler, Betty Bare of Gastonia, Darlene Phillips of Jefferson and Blanche Brown (Robert) of West Jefferson. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
