With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Clara Maxine Hooker (West Jefferson, North Carolina), born in New Bern, North Carolina, who passed away on April 30, 2018 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Alva R. Hooker; and her siblings, William Riddick, Cleo Riddick, Rebecca Stalls, Calvin Riddick and Tommy Marriner.
She is survived by: her daughters, Nancy Jordan (Byron) of West Jefferson and Sue Thompson (Mark) of West Jefferson; her sister Judy Edwards of Raleigh; her grandchildren, Melissa Bunker of Huntersville and Nicholas Marshburn of Southern Pines, NC; and her great grandchildren, Paisley Marshburn, Ian Marshburn of Southern Pines, Montgomery Bunker of Huntersville, Gus Bunker of Huntersville and Emmy Bunker of Huntersville. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
