He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Lockamy Cozart; and his siblings, Lyda Cozart Moody, Catherine Cozart Vaughn and William Haywood Cozart. He is survived by: his children, Michael "Mike" Thomas Cozart of West Jefferson, Ernest Thomas "Tommy" Cozart, III (Vickie) of Wake Forest and Kimberly "Kim" Marie Cozart of Garner; and his grandchildren, Michael Thomas Cozart, Jr. (Melody), Jonathan Christopher Cozart, Heather Cozart Swales and Jennifer Leigh Cozart.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Masonic Home for Children, 600 College Street, Oxford, NC 2755.
