She was predeceased by: her parents, Gaither William Carter and Martha Malinda Darnell Carter; her husband Elmer Glade Miller; and her siblings, Mary Lean Carter Severt and Jerry Dean Carter.
She is survived by: her son Allen Glade Miller (Mary); her brother Joel A. Carter of Clinton, TN; her sisters-in-law, Pauline Carter of Hays and Joann Miller of Galax, VA; her grandchildren, Scott Allen Miller (April) and Mary Allison Shifflett; and her nieces, Karen Otten of Atlanta, GA, Debbie Collins of Clemmons, NC, Judy Ketron of Knoxville, TN, Lori Collazo of Clinton, TN and Linda Seamster of Boone, NC. She is also survived by three great-grandsons.
