He was predeceased by: his wife Ophelia Calloway Bower; and his siblings, Paul, Pell Bower, Ruby Little and Ann Smith.
He is survived by: his sons, Greg Bower (Nancy) of Crumpler and William Bower (Mary Beth) of Atlanta, GA; his grandchildren, Megan Pandoff (Ryan), Ashley Park (Brian), Alexander Bower, Holly Bower and Erica Bower; his great grandchildren, Rylan and Cora Pandoff; and his sisters, Madge McNeill of West Jefferson, Audrey Hurley of Jefferson and Wanda Waldenburger of New Mexico.
