With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Royce Edwin Dickens (West Jefferson, North Carolina), who passed away on June 17, 2019 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Peggy Dickens; his parents, Royce Dickens and Sadie Dickens; and his siblings, Marie Wicker, Betty McLean and Henry Dickens.
He is survived by: his wife Betsy Edwards Dickens; his daughters, Gay Hunt of Pittsboro and Ginger Broussard (Kevin) of Zebulon; his sister Harriet George of Moncure; his grandchildren, Chad Dickens and Brandy Morrison; and his great grandchildren, Hunter Thomas and Kinsley Morrison. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
