She was predeceased by : her parents, Noah Meggs and Mary Horton Meggs; and her husband Thomas William Prease (Bill). She is survived by : her sons, Dr. William "Billy" E. Prease and Owen Whitney Prease; her sister Joyce M. Pate of Durham, NC; and her grandchildren, William Prease, Jacob Prease and Caroline Prease.
