Nell Bass Obituary
We are sad to announce that on December 7, 2020, at the age of 90, Nell Bass of Whiteville, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Hooks and Monicia Spivey; her husband Hubert R. Bass; and her siblings, Wingate Edward Hooks, Geraldine Sellers Outz (Jerri) and Imogene Andrews.
She is survived by: her children, Gloria Jean Bass Morgan (Dwight) of Roxboro, NC and Hubert Ralph Bass, Jr. (Gwen) of Whiteville; her sister Muriel H. Smarge of Florida; and her grandchildren, Angela Brazzeal (Chris), Tammie McDonald (Dana), Heather Schoger (Jason), Stephanie Kingston (Christopher), Matthew Morgan (Michelle), Hubert Ralph Bass, III (Elisha) and Christopher Chad Bass. She is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Western Prong Cemetery Fund, 167 Peacock Rd, Whiteville, NC 28472.
