She was predeceased by : her parents, Alvin Allen and Kathleen Lowery Allen; her son Benjamin "Benji" Pope; and her brother James Nance. She is survived by : her children, Randy Allen (Carletta) of Stella, NC, Cathy Todd (Timmy) of Whiteville and Melinda Hinson (Derek) of Whiteville; her grandchildren, Christopher, Brooke, Cameron, Laython, Juston, Lindsey, Justin and Brendon; her great grandchildren, Blake, Khalisi, Weslynn, Fisher, Brighton, Blair and Oakley; and her close friend Audrey Atkinson.
