He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Chapman and Mabel Walker Chapman; his wives, Alice Chapman and Tiny Chapman; and his siblings, Ruth Saillard, Shirley Darling, Samuel Chapman, Ronald Chapman and Paul Chapman.
He is survived by: his brothers, Eugene Chapman of Moyock, NC, Douglas Chapman of Newport News and Wayne Chapman of Roanoke; his children, Tammie Norris (Ronnie) of Whiteville, Robert Chapman of Madison, William Chapman of Madison, Patrick Chapman (Vickie) of Whiteville and Mark Chapman (Sandi) of Whiteville; his grandchildren, Kevin Norris (Valerie), Bradley Norris (Kristy), Kayla Bunch (Justin), Kaitlin Chapman, Haley Chapman, Anthony Chapman and Dustin Chapman; and his great grandchildren, Ryleigh Bunch, Brayden Bunch, Addisyn Bunch, Samuel Norris and Henry Norris.
