He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Edmund and Hazel Dolores Nesset Benson. He is survived by: his wife Mary Colleen Pendergast Benson; his children, Russell Benson (Jennifer), Shelly Halpern (Daniel), Paul Benson (Medora) and Kevin Benson (Kristen Hansen); his grandchildren, Amelia Benson, Aidan Halpern, Ashley Halpern, Alayna Halpern, Barrett Benson, Bjorn Benson, Brygg Benson, Kaia Benson, Wynn Benson and Nicola Benson; and his siblings, Diane Burks (John), Victoria Maddock (Brian), John Benson (Nancy), Joel Benson (Alicia) and Jeffrey Benson (Kay).
