She was predeceased by : her brother John "Jaybird" William Shew, Jr.. She is survived by : her father John "Dub" Shew, Sr.; her husband Jody Evan Brown; her parent Beverly Shew of Wilkesboro; and her siblings, Diane Shew Hall (Harvey) of North Wilkesboro, Peggy Shew of Wilkesboro, Ray Shew (Terrie) of Wilkesboro and Gwyn Shew (Billie Jo) of North Wilkesboro. She is also survived by eighteen nieces and nephews.
