He is survived by : his wife Mary Watson Huffman; his daughters, April Mintz (Chris) of Purlear, Tiffany Darnell (Kenny Carroll) and Melissa Huffman of Millers Creek; his step-sons, Edward Hodges (Mary) of Vilas and Christopher Hodges (Amy) of Beech Mountain; his grandchildren, Kira Cardwell, Eric Higgins, Kinley Mintz, Brooklynn Mintz, Carissa Settle and Larissa Settle; his step-grandchildren, Finley, Blake Hodges, Alexis, Kendra, Taylor Hodges, Katelyn and Alex Icenhour; and his brothers, Billy Wade Watson of Wilkesboro and Larry Wayne Watson of Wilkesboro.

Visitation was held on Monday, January 18th 2021 from 11:45 AM to 1:45 PM at the Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home (270 Armory Road, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 18th 2021 at 1:00 PM at the Reins Sturdivant Funeral Home Chapel (270 Armory Road, North Wilkesboro, NC 28659). A burial was held on Monday, January 18th 2021 at the Pilgrim Baptist Church (493 Pilgrim Baptist Church Rd, Wilkesboro, NC 28697).
