He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Medley and Virginia May Weaver Medley; and his sisters, Mary Belle Curry, Virginia Lucille Dillard, Billie Ward, Dorothy Brown and Joann Woods.

He is survived by: his children, Donna Medley Waller of Wilkesboro and Kenny Allen Medley of Wilkesboro.
