It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Gravette of Wilkesboro, North Carolina, born in Hillsborough, North Carolina, who passed away on April 3, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Paul Jacob Hornbuckle and Pansy Freeland Hornbuckle; her grandparents, Irving and Minnie Freeland; her husband Lewis Gravette; her brother Bobby Hornbuckle; her cousin Donna Freeland; her daughter Susan Gravette Cogdill (Gary) of Wilkesboro, NC; her grandsons, Ryan Cogdill (Tracy) of Glenelg, MD and Wesley Cogdill (Kristen) of Boiling Springs, NC; her great grandchildren, Madison, Allison, Lilly and Benjamin; her sisters-in-law, Virginia Gravette Wilkerson (Hillsborough) and Jeanette Hornbuckle (Charlotte); and her aunt Henny. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family lovingly requests that all attending the services wear facial coverings and practice social distancing.
