He was predeceased by : his parents, James Robert Priester, Sr. and Mabel Inez Bumgarner Priester. He is survived by : his wife Clara Harris Priester; his daughter Samantha Priester of Hendersonville; and his sisters, Angela Mathis of Asheville, Jackie Gentry of Montgomery and Pamela Mayberry of North Wilkesboro. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
The family has requested no flowers and no food. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105-9956.
