He is survived by : his children, Debra Jean Gregory (Ronnie) of Wilkesboro, Glenda Gail Shew of Wilkesboro, Jennifer Renae Waddell (Eddie) of Roaring River and James Randy Shew (Dana) of Wilkesboro; his grandchildren, Julie Hartley of Melissa Holt, B. J, David Gregory, Cassie McHargue, Willie Porter, Joshua Porter, Emilee Waddell, Jaymee Waddell, Dannielynn Shew and Dylon Mathis; his great grandchildren, Weston Shew, Mason Hartley, Easton Hartley, Liliana McHargue, Xavier Piper, Ellie Piper, Amelia Mathis, Josie Miller, Asher Miller, Callie Miller, Peyton Gregory, Bria Gregory, Owen Combs, Austen Prevette, Heidi Porter, Logan Porter, Ashland Porter, Kierra Porter, Levi Porter and Gabriel Porter; his sister Ella Mae Riddle of North Wilkesboro; and his sister-in-law Hallie Mae Shew of Wilkesboro.
