She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Amos Abbott, Sr. and Carrie Louise Perkins Abbott; her husband Walter Eugene Parks, Sr.; her grandsons, James Nevils and Eric Thompson, Jr.; and her sister Carolyn Pendleton.
She is survived by: her children, Lisa Crutchfield (Alvis) of Wilkesboro, Vernette Varner (Glen) of White House, TN, Veronica Parks of Clarksville, TN, Scott Vannoy (Dorothy) of Greensboro, Walter Eugene Parks, Jr. (Grace) of Suffolk, VA, Brandy "Cooter" Parks of North Wilkesboro and Caroline Kunkel of Germany; and her siblings, Deborah Davenport (Walter) of Massachusetts, Walter Abbott, Jr. of Murphy, NC and Anthony Abbott of Wilkesboro. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
