Shirley Shumate Obituary
We are sad to announce that on May 15, 2025, at the age of 87, Shirley Shumate of Wilkesboro, North Carolina passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Shirley Shumate to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Otto Sheets and Faye Wyatt Sheets; her husband Plato Shumate; her granddaughter Jennifer Church; and her brother Sam Sheets.
She is survived by: her son Michael Dennis Shumate (Carolyn) of Wilkesboro; her grandson Chase Shumate (Shana) of Millers Creek; her great grandchildren, Donovan Smith, Chaselyn Church and Jennifer Shumate; her siblings, Maxine Key of Kannapolis and Marvin Sheets of Millers Creek; and her sister-in-law Nancy Sheets of Burlington. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
