It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Melba Eloise Smith (Willow Spring, North Carolina), who passed away on December 21, 2019, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Henry Smith and Clara Smith; her children, Jimmy and Peggy Hedgepeth; her husbands, Roy J. Hedgepeth, Rodney Touchet and Thomas Altman; her siblings, Joel Smith and Patricia Hedgepeth; her stepmother Eloise Smith; and her aunt Fanny Stephenson.

She is survived by : her daughters, Jennifer H. Myatt (Benny), Denise P. Henderson and Rita T. Currin (Bobby); her grandchildren, Wendy Henderson, Devin Henderson and Jackson Currin; her great grandchildren, Ty and Callia O'Neal; and her siblings, Nancy Stancil, Dwight Smith, Michael Smith, Judy Tyndall and Glenn Godwin.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Community Home Care and Hospice.
