She was predeceased by : her parents, Benjamin Franklin Carter and Alice Mae Lewis Carter; her husbands, John Allen Toomey, Sr. and Michael Borsellino; and her siblings, Elenor, Ruth, Reba and George.

She is survived by : her son John Allen Toomey, Jr. (Connie) of Willow Spring. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
