He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Jernigan and Roma Mae Jernigan; his significant other Linda Kay Jernigan; and his siblings, Ray (Sarah), Betty and Carolyn.
He is survived by: his sons, David (Jeannine), Bobby (Denise) and Billy (Angela). He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Greenlawn Memorial Park (1155 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC 28412). The military honors will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Greenlawn Memorial Park (1311 Shipyard Blvd, Wilmington, NC 28412).
