She was predeceased by: her parents, Barney Ludlum and Dora Mae Hughes; her husband Glenn Everest; her son Billy Wade Russ II; and her sister Yvonne Ward.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sheila Marie Morgan and Philia Morgan; her grandchildren, Terra Jenrette, Philip Hall and Morgan Canady; and her sisters, Frances Grissett, Mavis Anderson and Janice Morgan. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
