William Gibbons Fussell Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Gibbons Fussell of Wilmington, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 24, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jessie Lenford Fussell and Margaret Ward Fussell; his sisters, Mary Lou Sloan (John) and Nancy Whitlaw (Nat); and his stepdaughter Cheryl Humphrey.
He is survived by: his wife Suzanne Lassiter Fussell; his daughter Cheri Gray (Scott); his granddaughter Aleisha Gray; his stepchildren, Jodie Florian (Paul), Amy Humphrey Carroway and Eddie Humphrey (Amanda); his stepgrandchildren, Bethany Burns (Chris), Hunter Pridgen (Raegan), Ethan Florian (Fran), Taylor, Parker Carroway and Kayla Humphrey; and his great grandchild Brinlee Burns. He is also survived by four loving nephews.
