It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willie Jay Rooks (Wilmington, North Carolina), born in Atkinson, North Carolina, who passed away on February 23, 2019, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorena Tatum Croom and Graham Croom; and his daughter Carol R. McClellan. He is survived by: his wife Judith R. Rooks; his children, Kevin Rooks (Bruce) and Angela Powell (Mousey); his grandchildren, Ryan McClellan (Haley), Ethan McClellan (Ashley), Nichole Anderson (Glenn), Grayson Powell, Taylor Powell and Brayden Baker-Rooks; his great grandchild Easton Anderson; and his son-in-law Harold McClellan.
