She was predeceased by: her parents, Wiley Smith and Lula Applewhite Smith; and her siblings, Mona Fate Myles, Wiley Smith Jr., Lester Ray Fate, James Earl Smith and David Smith.
She is survived by: her husband Wiley Farmer Sr.; her children, Deborah Mason of Wilson, Angelia Barnes of Wilson, Shelia Barnes of Wilson, Priscilla Barnes (Kevin) of Wilson, Kenneth Barnes (Samantha Williams) of Wilson and Tommy Barnes Jr. of Wilson; her stepdaughter Joyce Speight Taylor of Wilson; her siblings, Alice Artis of Wilson, Vonnie Sharpe of Wilson and William Earl Smith (Shirley) of Wilson; and her friends, Yvonne Barnes of Wilson and Bernice Taylor of Wilson. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews; a host of other relatives and many friends.
