It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alex Ray Forbes of Wilson, North Carolina, who passed away on May 26, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jettie Forbes and Ethel Baker Forbes; and his siblings, Brenda Forbes Owens, Vennie Forbes Mansfield and Jasper Forbes.

He is survived by: his wife Carol McKeel Forbes; his children, Lisa Forbes Greene, Thomas Forbes and Michael Forbes (Carrie); his grandsons, Clay Leggett and Jesse Leggett; and his siblings, Judy McMurray (Fred), Ada Forbes and Jerry Forbes (Pat).
