She is survived by: her husband Raymond Randolph Byrd; her children, Valarie Caple of Elizabeth City, NC, Keith Byrd, Kimberly Byrd of Selma, NC, Kenneth Byrd of Raleigh, NC, Karen Danfa of Woodbridge, VA and RaeJean Byrd of Woodbridge, VA; her brother Billie Thomas Staton (Helen) of Temple Hill, MD; and her grandchildren, Philip Hicks (Brandi) of Columbia, MD, Levie Lanier (Mimi) of Mobile, AL, Alfred A. Caple, Jr. of Elizabeth City, Matthew Byrd, Erika Byrd of Woodbridge, VA, Myles Garris, Myziah Garris of Gardner, NC and Paris Danfa of Woodbridge, VA. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
