She was predeceased by: her husband John Burton "Burt" Gillette; her parents, Dora Mae and John Carraway Ward; and her siblings, Jack Ward and Marthaleen Inman.
She is survived by: her children, John Gillette (Jane), Wray Gillette (Sheri), Michael Gillette (Helen) and Joan Gillette Gray (Bob); her brother Lupton; her siblings-in-law, Mildred Ward, Jack and Alice Gillette; her grandchildren, Kate Layton (Joel), Will Gillette, Sarah Beth Gillette (Josh McNutt), Davidson Gillette (Sarah), Cameron Gillette, Grey Gillette (Kathryn), Annaliese Thornton (Ian), Burton Gillette, Harrison Gillette, Alex Gillette, Zachery Gray and Dana Gray; and her great grandchildren, Abby Grace, Jefferson and Theo.
