She was predeceased by: her parents, William Green and Evelyn Green; and her brothers, William "Bill" Greene and Robert "Bob" Green. She is survived by: her children, Denise and Dwight; her husband Don Barnes; her children, Barry Turnage of Wilson, Don Barnes Jr. of Lucama, Dwayne Barnes of Garner and Diane Barnes of Kenly; and her siblings, Audrey Girvan and Wesley Green. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren.
