He is survived by : his wife Frances Nowell; his children, Maurine Nowell Brown (Greg), Anna Jane Nowell Murray (Jim), Maurice Nowell (Olga) and Carl Nowell Jr.; his grandchildren, Jenna Lynn Murray, Rachel Brown, Ruth Ann Murray and J. C. Murray; and his cousin Mary Helen Schaubhuth.
