She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Frank Mitchell and Mildred Atkinson Mitchell; her daughter Ella Lorraine Mitchell Watson; and her sister Peggy Ann Mitchell Woodard. She is survived by: her significant other James McDaniel; her children, Carolyn Jones of Atlanta, GA, William Randolph Batta, Travis Knight (Latoya) and Morris Jones (Dawn); her goddaughter Jamaya Haynie of Wilson, NC; her grandson Joshua E. Watson; her great grandchild Ashli Lorraine Watson; her stepfather Wallace T. J. Barnes; her siblings-in-law, Phyllis Hilliard of Wilson, NC and Earl Boykin of Wilson, NC; and her close friend Ann Knight. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
