He was predeceased by: his parents, William David and Mary Etta Parrish Best; and his brother William Best, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Lillian Turnage Best; and his siblings, Peggy Best Barnes of Lucama, Ruth Best Whitley of Lucama, Kermit Best (Evelyn) of Wilson, Harold Best (Alice) of Wilson, David Ricky Best (Gwen) of Winterville and Wilbert Best of Bailey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
