He is survived by: his children, Sherri Whitley Jernigan (Brad) of Wilson, Gray Kingsley Whitley of Wilson and Douglas B. Whitley, Jr. (Cheri) of Greenville; his grandchildren, Douglas B. Whitley, III, Charles Whitley, Blythe Whitley, Reagan Jernigan and Olivia Jernigan; his great grandchild Briar Whitley; and his sister Mary Ella Whitley Barnes of Wilson.
