She was predeceased by: her husband Joseph Elmon Batten; her great grandchild Ashlie E. Ormond; her parents, Gattis Gower and Willie Boykin Gower; and her siblings, Howard E. Gower, D. Hubert Gower and Dorothy G. Underwood.
She is survived by: her daughter Candace Batten Holliday; her grandchildren, Bridgett W. Bonner (Kevin), David B. Wilder (Shannon) and Joseph R. Wilder (Lisa); her great grandchildren, Jay, Ethan, Hunter, Matthew, Ashton, Krissah-Lee, Madelaine, Nathan, Justin, Damien, Ava, Courtney and Emma Grace; and her great great grandchildren, Ryan, Addisyn, Tinsley, Braxton and Bailey.
