She was predeceased by: her parents, Mattie Cooper and Eddie Cooper; her brothers, JB, Horace and Junior Cooper; her daughter-in-law Gloria Poythress; and also, Ernestine and C. V..
She is survived by: her husband C. V. Poythress; her children, Deborah Ayers (Bobby) of Wilson, Vicky Shover (Paul) of Elm City and David Poythress of Wilson; her grandchildren, Amanda Dougherty of Clayton, Dr. Bennett Jones (Jennifer) of Clayton, Brad Wheeler (Ashley) of Greenville, Anya Capps (Robert Ward) of Wilson, Pruitt Poythress of Denver, CO and Chandler Shover of Elm City; her great grandchildren, Wooten, Anna Gracen, Christian Dougherty, Sydney, Carson Jones, Natalie, Ethan, Hudson Capps, Jayce Sarafino and Lilly Spence Wheeler; and her siblings, Mozelle Taylor and Harold Cooper of Wilson.
