Nichols of Newport News, Virginia; his stepchildren, Randy Fulghum (Timberly), Donna Taylor (Gary) and Mark Fulghum (Vicki); his sister Diane Jarrell; his nieces, Brenda Devaughn, Eleanor Pippin and Crystal Ivey; and his nephew Jonathon Durham. He is also survived by six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
