With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Geraldine Joyner Murphy (Wilson, North Carolina), who passed away on March 25, 2020 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Jonathan R. Murphy "Buddy"; and her son Jonathan R. Murphy, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughter Rhonda M. Moore of Elm City; her daughter-in-law Melissa Murphy Boykin of Elm City; her sisters, Linda J. Linton of Rocky Mount and Gayla J. Tedder of Snow Hill; and her grandchildren, Edward A. Moore, Jr., April Joy Moore, Brandy Moore (April Spencer Moore) and Jessica Murphy. She is also survived by ten great- grandchildren.
