She was predeceased by: her husband Al Smith Virgil; her children, Patricia Ann Taylor, Diana Kay Virgil, Arnecia Rita Virgil and Al Dutchman Virgil; her parents, Elbert Knight and Arnecia Howard Knight; and her siblings, Charlie Robert Knight, Mildred Cook, Rachel Knight, Bertha Barnes, Annie Doris Harris and Ruth Barnes of Virginia.
She is survived by: her children, Elbert Clinton Virgil (Linda) of Sharpsburg, Dennis Ray Virgil, Donald Eugene Virgil (Cindy) of Elm City, Gladys Ann Hill (Johnny) of Wilson, Shelly Gray Robinson of Elm City and Carolyn Virgil; her daughter-in-law Bonnie Virgil; and her siblings-in-law, Beatrice Diane Thompson, Australia Cameron Virgil, Mildred Virgil and Vernon Virgil. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren, and ten great great grandchildren.
