She was predeceased by: her husband Charles Edwin Simpson. She is survived by: her children, Patricia Ann Tarleton (Tom) of Wilson and Tom Simpson (Linda) of Wilson; and her grandchildren, Rebecca Tew (Jack) of Wilson, Gerry Simpson of Wilson, Jill Rae Tarleton of Wilson, Stacey Sawyer Cooper (Miles) of Cary and Brooke Sawyer Rule (John) of Blowing Rock. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
