He was predeceased by : his parents, Hurbert "Cottonhead" and Doris Pittman Parrish; and his father-in-law Herbert "Dickie" Farmer. He is survived by : his wife Lori Farmer Parrish; his children, Rebekah "Bekah" Parrish, Biscuit, Dickie Lee Parrish (Amy) of Kinston and Travis Parrish (Dorinda) of Las Vegas; his adoptive parents, Vernon Parrish and Nancy Parrish of Lucama; his mother-in-law Dorothy Farmer of Wilson; his siblings-in-law, Thomas Farmer of Wilson and Sherry Bass (Russ) of Wilson; his grandchildren, Nick, Kassidy Parrish of Wilson, Isabella, Josiah Parrish of Las Vegas and Emily Carmody of Kinston; and his sisters, Avis Jean Owens of Lucama, Vonnie Parrish of Lucama and Wanda Tucker (Curly) of Lucama.
