He is survived by: his children, Glenda Whitley (Keith) of Bailey, Kim Edmundson (Jimmy) of Wilson and Roy Godwin (Debbie) of Wilson; and his grandchildren, Ashley Barnes (Alan) of Rocky Mount, Brad Whitley (Amanda) of Wilson, Josh Edmundson (Lindsey) of Wilson, Caleb Edmundson of Wilson, Chad Lucas (Amanda) of Greenville and Lance Lucas (Victoria) of Stantonsburg. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
