She was predeceased by: her husband Norwood Earl Merritt; her parents, Lewis Clifton and Mary Ann Hayes Tomlinson; and her siblings, Edna T. Lamm and Lewis "L. C.".
She is survived by: her daughter Lynn M. Barnes (Spencer); her grandsons, Hunter Barnes (Anna) and Travis Barnes (Catherine); her great grandchildren, Weston Etheridge, William Barnes, Mary Hunter Barnes and Wally Barnes; and her brother James "Jimmy" Ray Tomlinson.
