He is survived by: his brothers, Don Reno and Red Smiley; his daughters, Anita Lynn Taylor (Elwood) of Lansing and Annette D. Heath (Carl) of Chilhowie, VA; and his grandchildren, Uriah Seth Miller, Tim Miller of Lansing and Amber Elizabeth Miller of Jacksonville, FL..
