He was predeceased by: his wife Marjorie Doris Jones; his son William Gill Jones; and his parents, Lee Jones and Sudie Jones. He is survived by: his children, Thadise Lee Jones (Janet) of Elm City, Betty Lou Winstead (late Moses) of Wilson and Peggy Jones of Southern Pines; his grandchildren, Cindy Jones, Buddy Jones, Kenneth Jones, Marjorie Norfleet, Wendy Boykin, Cheyenne Snipes and Lisa Weiand; and his great grandchildren, Bailey McDuffie, Morgan Norfleet, Brandon Boykin, Tyler Boykin, Kaylee Jones, Noah Jones, Crystal Weiand and Joshua Boyd. He is also survived by three great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
