We are sad to announce that on July 13, 2025, at the age of 81, Melvie Jean Tant Lanier of Wilson, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Jerry Lanier; her parents, Robie Tant and Sadie Tant; and her siblings, Bruce Tant, Pearl Tant, Annie Ruth Tant and Shelby Jean Tant.
She is survived by: her children, Donald Ray "Squeaky" Page, Jr. and Tracy Page Krueger (Drew); her grandsons, Darrell Dockery (Chelsie) and Joey Dockery; her stepgrandsons, Richard Krueger and Brenden Krueger; her great grandchildren, Dawson Dockery, Waylon Dockery and Marshall Tant; her sisters, Annie Ruffin (David), Shirley Tant and Angela Whitehead (Allen); and her cousin Lucille Simmons.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM at the Joyner's Funeral Home (4100 Raleigh Rd Pkwy W, Wilson, NC 27896). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 2:45 PM at the Calendar Bailey Town Cemetery (11499 NC-581, Bailey, NC 27807).
