It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Allen Barnett (Wilson, North Carolina), who passed away on February 27, 2020, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Rufus Barnett; his daughter Cynthia Lynn Barnett; his brother Rufus Danny Barnett; and his grandparents, Richard, Carrie Barnett, R. B. and Sadie Hathaway.
He is survived by: his mother Sadie Frances Barnett of Wilson; his daughters, Marsha Barnett (Travis) of Wilson and Melissa Butts (Stephen) of Wilson; his siblings, Evelyn Honse of Wilson, Jean Wallace (Gene) of Macclesfield, Julie Green of Wilson, Ruby Little (Larkin) of Bath and Joseph Barnett (Kim) of Elm City; and his grandchildren, Kayla Hart, Ryan Hart, Brett Hart and Piper Butts. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
