He was predeceased by: his wife Ann Marie Heibel; his parents, Roman Heibel and Eleanor Fifelski Heibel; and his siblings, Dorothy Heibel and Gene Heibel.
He is survived by: his children, Diann Matthews (Todd) of Archer Lodge, Carolyn Henley (Brian) of Wilson, Katherine Heibel of Wilson and Robert James Heibel, Jr. (Cassie) of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Kara Matthews, Daniel Matthews, Kate Matthews, Jenna Henley, Anna Henley, Sara Henley, Robby Heibel, Maddie Heibel and Elise Heibel; and his siblings, Don Heibel, Larry Heibel, Theresa Heibel, Madeline Heibel and Tom Heibel.
