He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Temple and Thelma Temple; his brother Doug Temple; and his father-in-law Earl Suggs. He is survived by: his friend Mike Eatmon; his wife Cindy Suggs Temple; his daughter Megan "Munchkin" Temple; his sister Karen Smith (Todd) of Oakboro; his mother-in-law Dot Suggs; his brother-in-law Ricky Suggs (Donna); his sibling's children, Scott Suggs (Ashley) of Wilson, Katelyn Suggs of Charlotte and Ashley-Nicole Russell of Greenville; his great-niece Raelynn; and his nephew Owen Suggs.
In lieu of flowers and in recognition of Roger's love of bass fishing the family ask that donations be made to The Blue Ridge Autism and Achievement Center in Roanoke, Virginia.
